Death of a Cameraman Presents: The Financial Case Files - When 0% Interest Becomes 100% Your Problem | S1 Ep 03

Today’s financial case file comes from a very interesting young man.  When 0% Interest Becomes 100% Your Problem. He writes:

Hi,

I’m 21 years old, and I got my first credit card when I was 18. At the time, I was attracted to the 18-month 0% interest offer because I thought it would give me plenty of time to pay off what I spent without having to worry about interest.

As time went on, I ended up carrying a balance and realized how easy it is for credit card debt to build up, especially when you’re young and still learning how to manage money.

My financial goal now is to completely pay off my credit card debt, build my savings, and learn better habits with credit so I don’t end up in the same situation again. I want to become financially independent and be able to use credit responsibly instead of relying on it.

Today, I help people think ahead financially—so when life changes the plan, they have options. Sometimes the people who need a strategy most are the ones still building. You don't have to be wealthy to start building a financial future. You just have to start.

I work with creatives and professionals who want to make smarter financial decisions—even if their income isn't perfect, predictable, or where they want it to be yet.

Let's start with a conversation about where you are and where you want to go.
